The FreezeBox™ Cooling System Preserves Biological Samples on the Benchtop All Day Long
Product Features:
¦ Uniform, low temperature protection for consistent sample results, typically +/-0.1 °C
¦ Lightweight, highly durable and easy to carry - suitable for frequent and repeated use
¦ Easy to clean and disinfect
¦ Ideal for preservation of unstable nucleic acid samples.
¦ Compact design and ice-free technology allow use in a tissue culture incubator, bio-safety cabinet, and other applications with limited space.
The three piece FreezeBox™ system is easy to assemble and use:
- Choose the Tube Module that works with your sample tubes - 0.2mL PCR, or 1.5mL, 2.0mL, and 5.0mL cryovials, or 5.0mL+ cryovials taller than 60mm. Suitable for temperatures ranging from -196°C to over 100°C, the high thermal conductivity metal alloy Tube Module ensures consistent sample tube temperatures within +/- 0.1 °C. It can also be used for cooling, quick freezing, thawing, and heating.
- Choose the Cryo-Core that maintains the temperature you need – either the 0.5°C ~ 4°C Cooling Core or the -18°C ~ -4°C Freezing Core. The aluminum alloy shell of the Cryo-Core ensures it can be placed in an ultra-low temperature freezer between 2 and 6 hours, then quickly cool your Tube Module and samples.
- Set your Tube Module on the chilled Cryo-Core and place both into the FreezeBox™ or Extended Height FreezeBox™. You’re ready to insert your sample tubes and start working on the benchtop!
Usage Notes: ¦ In order to maintain the specified insulation times, do not chill the Cryo-Core while inside the FreezeBox
™. Only Cryo-Cores and Tube Modules are to be put in a freezer.
¦ FreezeBox
™ and Tube Modules can be used with 200g of dry ice instead of Cryo-Core.
Cryo-Cores and Tube Modules can also be used in CryoCommand 9L EVA Ice Pans - an ideal solution for replacing ice baths!
