Corning closed system Erlenmeyer flasks will enhance the productivity of your shaker culture operations when adding or removing medium and cells. Closed cell culture systems help reduce the risk of adventitious contamination during drug development and manufacturing by transferring liquid aseptically. Can also be used for storage.

Flasks are made from optically clear polycarbonate and are preassembled with aseptic transfer caps. The preassembled transfer caps have two ports. The venting port ends in a 0.2µm pore PVDF membrane vent filter and a barbed fitting. The liquid transfer port uses a chemically resistant, heat sealable flexible tube on the external side of the cap, ending in a male Luer lock (MLL) or a male plastic coupler (MPC) male disconnect with a sealing cap. The internal side of the liquid transfer port is a chemically resistant, rigid polypropylene dip tube that reaches all the way to the bottom of the flask for easy aseptic transfer of your liquid handling processes. Units are sterilized by gamma radiation, are nonpyrogenic, RNase-/DNase-free, and arrive individually double-bagged, preassembled and ready-to-use.

New 5L Erlenmeyer flasks are designed to help scale-up suspension culture with space efficiency in mind. They also feature a large vent cap for continuous gas exchange while preventing leakage, and a 50mm diameter vent filter.

Flask:  USP Class VI Polycarbonate, Molded-in graduations for accuracy (+/-5%). Available with plain or baffled bottom. Autoclavable once at 121°C, 15psi for 20 minutes. Repeated autoclaving weakens the flask and is not recommended.
Aseptic Transfer Cap: Chemically resistant, heat-sealable, flexible tubing, available in a variety of diameters and lengths and either MLL or MPC connectors. Vent cap is not autoclavable.
