Ponceau S, 50gm is a stain used to visualize proteins on microcellulose or PVDF membranes.

Details

    Ponceau S is a stain used to visualize proteins on nitrocellulose of PVDF membranes. To create Ponceau S solution; dissolve 0.5gm of Ponceau S in 1mL of glacial acetic acid, and bring to 100mL with ddi water. To stain with Ponceau S; remove blot and inse with ddi water, stain with Ponceau S solution for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse for 3 to 5 minutes with ddi water. Red bands should appear against the white background.
